The Objective
The Coalition for Engaged Education needed a brand and communication suite that could speak to two very different audiences simultaneously — youth participants seeking empowerment, and corporate partners and donors whose funding made the programs possible. I led the design of a visual system that had to feel credible to institutions and human to the people it served.
The Design Process & Delivery
I led the expansion of a brand system that prioritized identity, accessibility, and institutional urgency.
Inclusive Visual Identity: I developed a vibrant yet structured visual language that celebrated community identity while maintaining the institutional credibility needed to secure high-level corporate partnerships.
Scalable Communication Framework: I created a Scalable Design System adaptable to various marketing formats. This framework empowered the organization to maintain a consistent brand voice across all touchpoints, even with limited internal resources.
Human-Centred Narrative: By incorporating the notion of resilience through an expressive typographic poem, I ensured that every communication piece felt empowering and remained deeply accessible to the youth it served.
The Outcome
The rebrand elevated the organization's presence across the California non-profit landscape — contributing directly to successful funding drives and expanded program enrolment.
Visual language designed to celebrate community identity — warm and expressive without losing institutional credibility.
Scalable communication framework in action — a consistent brand voice across multiple formats and touchpoints.
Typographic poem used as a central design element — making resilience and empowerment the literal texture of the brand.
