Global Health Policy Data-Driven Advocacy & Impact
Client: World Bank, 2016 - 2019
Role: Design Lead & Project Manager
Collaborators: Researchers, Data Analysts, and Stakeholder Constituents from WHO, UNICEF, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
Objective
The challenge was to produce impactful design outputs capable of influencing policy and funding decisions across multiple countries. This required synthesizing complex primary healthcare metrics and human capital data into clear, accessible insights for the world’s most critical decision-making bodies.
The Design Process & Delivery
Over the course of three years, I led design efforts to address recurring communication gaps between performance measurement teams and high-level leadership.
Narrative Synthesis: I collaborated with analysts to refine complex datasets into persuasive visual narratives, ensuring that actionable results were the focus of every report.
Adaptability for Global Constraints: I led the development of a diverse range of deliverables, from high-profile digital pitches to printed booklets for the G7 and Universal Health Coverage (UHC) conferences, tailoring the format to the technical infrastructure of the target regions.
Strategic Orchestration: I managed the integration of Information Design expertise directly into the data reporting lifecycle, ensuring that global health insights were both technically sound and visually compelling.
Outcome
The design-driven outcomes empowered World Bank delegates to directly influence global policy and funding. By elevating the clarity of performance reporting, we enhanced the understanding of complex health data for leaders at the highest levels of international government.
