The Objective: To develop a visual identity and signage system for a multi-use hub that honors its industrial heritage while serving diverse modern functions.

The Design Process & Delivery: I applied a Systemic Design approach to create an identity flexible enough to house multiple sub-brands. I led the development of a wayfinding system that integrated with the architecture, prioritizing accessibility and clear navigation for high-traffic public use.

The Outcome: Established a landmark brand identity that became a cornerstone of neighborhood revitalization and unified a complex community space.Decommissioned TTC maintenance barns were transformed into a community hub by Artscape. My role was to assist developing visual identity for the facility. Through research in the facility’s history and remnants, the visual identity was developed to re-connect with the building’s past. The wordmark and symbol were inspired by original architectural blueprint of the five barns and old streetcar signs that were kept in the preparing facility. The environmental design application also reflect a sense of TTC’s history and community.
